I graduated high school in 1999 from Robert R. Fitch Senior High School in Groton, CT and then made my way down to Tampa, FL where I first started studying marine biology but finished my college career graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Experience

I am a teacher with 8+ years of experience. I also have experience as an in-home tutor. I believe tutors are so important as reinforcers to what students may not get in the classroom. It allows for more one on one attention the is not always conducive in a classroom environment. Students may also feel more at ease and comfortable outside of a classroom setting, so meeting with a tutor in the home or at a library can give the student that different environment he/she needs.

Hobbies

I know there is the saying: there is a time for work and a time for play but, if you can mix the two somehow, how much better would that be, right? I am a firm believer that learning is an experience that should be fun and should be something a student actually looks forward to. As a mommy of a spunky 2 year old, I am always looking for ways to entertain her but to also turn some of those entertaining moments into moments I can teach her. We are big Disney fans so my family and I constantly go and never get tired of it! I also love to cook and experiment with new recipes. Whenever my sisters and I are together, we live to sing and write songs for our group LadyLike.
